BLADES away at Lampard's Coventry

Some decent performances in there definitely not a 3-1, I reckon we deserved a draw. O’Hare MOTM again but Mee, McCallum, Cooper first half and one or two others played ok. Probably Cannon’s best game for us as well. ‘Keeper’ Davies screwed us there, I reckon he could have done better with their last as well but dithered. ⚔️⚔️

Agreed but nothing is going our way. We need a win and soon followed up by a few more before January. Hopefully we get get rid of a lot of dross and strengthen enough to avoid relegation.

Fine margins, but it takes a while to get that winning mentality and currently I think too many players are expecting things to go against them. If players think it’ll go tits up it often does and it’s probably a sign of our lack of leaders. First player to bin should be McGuinness, get Tanganga in the centre and play Seriki at RB for me. The guy is absolutely shocking, not one redeeming feature.

A physical symbol of the 11th hour panic buys in that disastrous last transfer window. Get rid asap.

I think we all took a deep breath when Davies appeared and feared the worst. He's a huge issue....bizarre that he's still around. It's a big worry if Cooper is out now.

We did look OK with 2 strikers and I guess bypassing the midfield and hoofing up to them as a decent option at the moment.

Ogbene is a waste of a shirt...just not good enough. At least Seriki/Brooks offered some pace/threat.

Coventry really weren't that good...nowhere near as good as Burnley/Leeds last season. It's a fine line but they have plenty of threat going forward which we don't.

Mee was good though. Small improvements.

The frustrating bit Aya is last season's team would probably get promoted this season. I know we would have struggled big time but the Prem money would have paid for the new training ground and our academy would have been Cat 1.
The Selles appointment but even more the way the owners handled the last transfer window has set us back years.

I don't know who was responsible for choosing the players BFL.. and at the time we were all happy enough with them. Who is in charge of recruitment? Not the owners I suspect. However the reality is they are bang average championship players and we are slowly losing our Prem quality ones. Hamer will be the next.

That's where we are. All we have to do this season is stay up...it should be possible with this squad and a few further tweaks in January.

I accept Wilder is the man to manage this as I feel another change at this stage would be disastrous...we need stability to steady the ship.

Davies making a save is like white dog shit; you dont see it anymore.

Of the multiple individual errors made this season that half hearted flap at a cross was by far the worst and he compounded it with his indecisive failure of an attempt to try to prevent their 3rd.
An embarrassment of a keeper in a SUFC top . As soon as he came on to start the 2nd half the result was beyond doubt. Pathetic- both him and the situation we are in with him as Hobson's- not second-choice.

He's a nervous, phsically weak big bloke who , somehow, is called a professional footballer. You can't blame him but he's been stealing a living, posing as a keper, for years.
