It piqued my interest after Steve Cooper commented in the Barnsley post-match interview on Sky Sports about the unfair fixture scheduling with two long distance away matches (Barnsley-Blackburn) within 72 hours of each other.
Now unless they travel to away games the day of the match, which I’m pretty sure they don’t, here’s their travel details -
Barnsley: leave Friday to overnight for Saturday night’s match, getting home Sunday.
Blackburn: leave Monday to overnight for Tuesday night’s match, getting home Wednesday.
Over a thousand miles of travelling -
Barnsley 254miles/508miles 4hrs 18mins/8hrs 36mins

Blackburn 258miles/516miles 4hrs 16mins/8hrs 32mins

Last 6 games:
Swans LWWDWW W4 D1 L1 F8 A3 Pts13
Blackburn WLDLWD W2 D2 L2 F7 A6 Pts8

Swans last 6 away games: WLWLWW W4 D0 L2 F8 A4 Pts12
Blackburn last 6 home games: WWLWDD W3 D2 L1 F9 A7 Pts10
(Blackburn’s one defeat was a 1-2 reverse against Norwich, Pukki scoring both goals)

It was a happy weekend for Swans fans after a tough away win on Saturday night opened up a four point gap between us and Bournemouth.
It’s another slog on Tuesday night though, as we’re back on that long and winding road again
This time it leads to Blackburn and from reports another poor pitch to play on.
Stoke were the visitors there last Saturday with Joe Allen back from injury. Stoke took the lead in the first half, but Blackburn equalised late second half on 76’.
Stoke hung on for the draw, finishing a man down after Chester was sent off for a foul on Armstrong, who was through on goal on 79’.
Blackburn striker Sam Gallagher went off with a back injury after falling over an advertisement board and is doubtful for Tuesday.
Swans key central defender Ryan Bennett should be back this week after a hamstring injury. Our other injured central defender was back on the subs bench on Saturday. Expect to see SC rotate the squad with the FA Cup tie sandwiched between the intense schedule of league matches.

Match postponed, waterlogged pitch!
How can they get away with that.
We had to relay our pitch between matches because it wasn’t good enough.
Even Blackburn’s players have been complaining about their pitch recently.
I know we’ve had a storm but surely the surface would have drained by tonight.
It’s convenient for them because they have a load of injuries.
They should play the match tomorrow night instead. Our team have been up there since yesterday.
