So in the couple of years this has been going here I have yet to be impressed by the offers but maybe I'm not looking in the right places? So what is the best deal you have had, or what is a bargain that we we shouldn't miss?

We all know that the sales are mostly nonsense. They buy in tat to flog off as cheap. Other places just leave the 'sale' signs up all year round.
 
Which have done something on this. Many of the prices have been inflated over recent months, so they can be "cut" for Black Friday. They were at the reduced prices back in June anyway.
 
Yes there was a feature on the telly where they said last year you could buy the same goods for cheaper in previous months than you could on Black Friday.

It's a marketing trick really. Nothing more.
 
The phrase 'special purchase' comes to mind when you look at some of the goods the retailer offers. In other words products that are brought in specially for these events.
