Vital Football Legend
The new EU leader won 50.9 % of the vote, in an election where there was only one candidate !
Its leader is picked by all the countries national leaders including the uk leaders and then elected by the European Parliament who are politicians voted in by the public. So actually there are 3 rounds of votes in reality and you can influence that representation by voting in the EU lections etc. How many times in the last 20 years have you done that and trid to make changes etc?
In the Uk right now, there is prime minister that the public never voted for in any round of votes, and the previous leader of the country also got in without any vote. In fact when she faced votes she lost more than most politcians in history because the people actually voted against a hard brexit for example.
The first is clearly more democratic than the second
