Birmingham City (a): Interviews, Score Predictions, Starting XI & Match Thread

Very poor. It concerns me that the centre forward must cover 10-12K without actually putting a challenge in over the course of the whole game

Ah well in the second half we competed well all over the field apart from the Birmingham penalty area. Jeacock acquitted himself well and can hold his head up.

Sounds like a missed opportunity against a second string Birmingham team. Deficits at both ends cost us again. Unfortunately one step closer to the season being done.

Can’t comment on the tactics and style of play but the subs did frustrate me.

Our lack of goal scoring ability is draining to be honest.

On the upside we didn’t get completely battered (even though it wasn’t the strongest team) and we have broken our duck in front of goal. Also, sounded like the keeper made some decent saves.

One thing else that has frustrated me over recent weeks and picked up on commentary was the urgency that only came in after we scored. We do not show urgency or intent.

Terrible start, gameplan good for the majority after that while not creating particularly good chances, could have still got something at the end.

Fair play if you lose to the fantastic Dykes goal, but the first one was so bad.

I feel if we were in any form or had something about us this season going forward we might have sneaked through.

Sounds like we had chances but couldn't put them away. If you can't score goals and all that...

We need goals and quickly. I know our investors have committed a lot but if we can't score then that's obviously trouble, no matter what happens at the other end of the pitch.

Shout out to Jeacock who it sounds like did well in a pressured situation for him.

Considering we had 19 per cent possession about 20 mins in it shows how much the pattern of the game changed that it ended up 52/48...

That was actually a game we should have taken into extra time. Overall a decent performance with Jeacock and Erhahon outstanding.

Bailey was playing well and switching him for Draper cost us. Draper missed two fairly straight forward headers in positions that Bailey has scored from in the past.
Yes, I’d have fancied Bailey to have hit the target with both.

I’m surprised at some of the comments. Having watched the game, I thought it was the best we have played for several weeks.

Our deficiencies up front are still there, and Skoobs’ substitutions are both appalling and worrying.

But overall that game could have gone either way. Apart from the first minute, defensively we were excellent, and more than decent in midfield.

Can you remind me which way the game went. This is a results business.
