Birmingham City (a): Interviews, Score Predictions, Starting XI & Match Thread

Head says it will be a walk in the park for Birmingham, heart says we put in a good performance for the Fa cup.

1-0 loss I think

Hopefully we won't get humped now because of Birmingham's injuries (assuming they are not a smokescreen) but it is very difficult to see us scoring, let alone winning. They have conceded one goal at home since September and our goal threat is not really a goal threat. If Erhahon knows he is leaving, he will hardly be busting a gut (even if he plays) while Hamilton and McGrandles are both out of form; also, we will have an even more inexperienced keeper than normal. Not a great recipe, hope I am wrong.

It was that defeat to Birmingham in October that started our dismal run; if only Hackett had scored...

A game 10 miles from home for me and one I'll be getting public transport to as parking in Birmingham is a nightmare (and for those driving really be careful where you park your car. The seemingly free places in industrial estates are rife with vehicle thefts most matches)

I'm going to enjoy the day irrespective of the result. We've earned quite a decent chunk of money from our FA Cup games this season so we can play the game as underdogs which just might suit us and their concentration will be on promotion this season and some teams really don't want the distraction of cup games.

For our team we know Pardington will be in goal. Will be good for him to get a testing run out. I do think we should try an close down their midfield which was very good in the game at our place so I'd be tempted with a 4-5-1 starting XI of..

Pardington
Darikwa Jackson O'Connor Roughan
Erhahon
Moylan McGrandles Bayliss Hackett
House (if fit) Cadz if not

Subs: Jeacock Montsma Hamilton Duffy Makama Draper Jefferies Okoro Cadz (or Oliver/Ring if well enough)

Always for believing we can get a result out of any game so 2-1 Imps

Why the hell not

Jeacock,
Jacko, Paudie, Roughan,
Darikwa, Erhahon, McGrandles, Reeco,
Moylan,
Draper and Makama

All stay on our feet, no dark arts, get amongst them, ref on our side. 2-2 and hope we get the luck in our pens. Come on City.

I'll be training it into Moor Street and taxiing it to the ground, for exactly the same reason. There used to be free parking around the Custard Factory and I often used it on a Saturday morning a few years ago but they eventually put a stop to that...

Seems silly to say in January but our season could start petering out quite quickly if we go out of both cups this week. Unfortunately, I suspect that's exactly what will happen. Not sure what team Birmingham will field but I expect it will be good enough to beat us handily. 3-1.

Train to New Street station where meeting Grandson, and walking to ground. As an Imps fan you have to be an optimist, Realistically Birmingham should win, but we've upset a few applecarts over the years.....just hope we perform well, and go from there

Not beaten them since 1911, home League record 8 wins 3 draws, spent countless millions on players this season, our current poor form , guaranteed away win, 1-2

We played reasonably well against them at Sincil Bank and, if Reeco had scored the pen, who knows what would have happened. We generally play ok against the better sides so I'll travel with a bit of optimism that we might get a bit of luck and nick it.

1-0 Imps!

I'd go full Kennedy-ball line up to keep it tight.

Partingdon
Jackson O'Connor Montsma
Darikwa Erhahon McGrandles Roughan
Moylan
Makama Cadamarteri

Subs (if fit): Jeacock, Jefferies, Bayliss, Reeco, Ring, Draper, House, Duffy, Hamilton

We are ball number 26 in the draw for the fourth round, which takes place on Sunday after the Arse v ManU game.

I thought the home game was the biggest difference in class I had seen in one of our league fixtures for many years, so I don't hold out any hope we can come away with anything tomorrow.

Pardingdon
Jackson O'Connor Roughan
Darikwa Erhahon McGrandles Reeco
Moylan
Makama Cadamarteri

Montsma I would save for the more important game on Tuesday. And its not very often I can say that a Vertu game is more important!
