Blackpool Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of another of its former players, Billy Wright, at the age of 89.
Blackpool born, Billy was one of Sir Stanley Matthews' understudies at Bloomfield Road and featured 15 times for the Seasiders, scoring twice.
He later went on to play for Leicester City, Newcastle United, Plymouth Argyle and Millwall.
