I think that the biggest news concerning Tottenham Hotspur FC over the summer is that the works for the new stadium are progressing and when ready it will increase the value of the club when the current owners will decide to sell it.

We shouldn't forget that the current owners have set only financial targets until now.

The words “glory on the field” and “winning silverware”, simply aren't included in the vocabulary of the current Spurs owners.

For a big London club like Spurs, waiting ten, twenty or thirty years to win regularly silverware simply isn't and can't be named as a “plan”, but it is just dust in the eyes of some less ambitious supporters!

Owners without ambition for glory on the field and without the financial capacity and the willingness to support achieving such a target inside the shortest possible time, simply shouldn't buy big and popular clubs like Spurs and condemn them to be excluded from glory for decades.

"The words “glory on the field” and “winning silverware”, simply aren't included in the vocabulary of the current Spurs owners...."

Nor is going bankrupt or ending up in the oblivion in the lower leagues as 22 other clubs who over the last 17 years who had 'ambitious' owners who've tried and failed...

They're not perfect but our trajectory as a club across every aspect of it is crystal clear unless you're deaf dumb and blind.

Continuous improvement over the last 3 years, continuous improvement and progress by our academy, New stadium, new revenues, silverware will come.

If you know of any new owners that can break the financial fair play rules and the Pl financial rules with impunity now - please put them in touch with Mr.Levy...I'm sure he'd be delighted.

I saw plenty of glory on the field last season and the one before. It got us to 2nd and 3rd in the PL and challenging for the title for 2 seasons .

Glory is winning trophies. What we saw was a team improving and challenging, for me that is not glory.

Glory is that and more; but there are hundreds of thousands if not millions of supporters who enjoy supporting their clubs, who love their clubs, where their clubs are an intricate part of their very lives, but all the time knowing that they haven't a hope of ever winning anything meaningful; yet they still do it - fools or perhaps not just 'glory hunters' ?

Try looking up the definition of glory. Then ask if we have provided those meanings. Our players have given us many glorious moments and been recognised and praised and admired .

"The words “glory on the field” and “winning silverware”, simply aren't included in the vocabulary of the current Spurs owners. "

Maybe some of you 'supporters" should learn what Glory actually means.
' A source of Honor, fame or admiration'

I for one am honoured to be a Spurs Supporter, and I know our brand name is very well known across the globe for all the right reasons. Our of football style and fluent flow of play is also admired by our closest of opponents, players and managers alike.

We have Glory without the silverware. It will come, and we won't buy it, we'll earn it. That my friends, takes time.

Spursex, I think you must be afraid even from your own shadow!

I remind you that Spurs motto contains the word “dare” and not something like “be afraid”.

So please, stop bringing forward “worst cases” of other clubs which have ended to lower divisions and try to use the cases of direct rivals which during the last decades have progressed and have won regularly titles and trophies.

That's the only way to progress and move forward: by comparing yourself to successful persons, clubs and situations and try to achieve the same success.

I believe that Spurs would be in that position if it happened to have ambitious with winning such silverware on the field owners and not persons who try to increase their money by using a football club.

That's the only factor missing at Spurs in order to be compared with clubs like Arse, Pool, Chelsea, MU or even MC concerning the number of titles and trophies won during the last decades: owners who bought the club in order to help it win such silverware in the shortest possible time.

Except if you or anybody else can name another factor!

Or do you believe that Spurs are a club which should be satisfied only by participating in the EPL or in a European competition without having a real chance to win any of them?

Just think how much money Levy and Co will ask in order to sell the club when the new stadium will be ready and how much profit they will make since they bought the club.
Then divide that profit by the silverware Spurs have won during their ownership!

10 Hoddle, I am afraid I can't force you to be ambitious with Spurs and want the club you support to win regularly domestic and international titles and trophies.

I live also abroad and I estimate that only less than ten percent of the football supporters abroad know well or admire Spurs.
Especially the young in age football supporters.

Their knowledge and interest is focused only on those clubs which make the “news” in a positive way and win regularly silverware.

Finished second, third or fifth in the domestic competition is something that probably interests only “domestic”football fans.

Because, as the songs say, “the winner takes it all” or “we are the champions”.
How many times a Spurs supporter has sung those songs during the last decades?

MARKYBOYSPUR: another “ambitious” Spurs fan!

What do you really think of Spurs?

What is your opinion: should the club be strengthened in an appropriate manner by the owners in order to compete regularly with realistic chances for titles and trophies or not?

Should that be happened in the shortest possible time since an new owner buys a club like Spurs or not?

What is your opinion about Spurs?

Do you think that Spurs is a Fulham or the club should compete with clubs like Arse, Chelsea, Pool, MU and MC for titles and trophies?

We are finally building something that could be sustainable, yet some want to tear it down for short-ism. Disappointing!

What's short ism about wanting to sign better players?

It's quite simple if we don't sign better players we will lose our best players and we will be back to square one once again.

Teams can't keep progressing without spending or going for the next level player.

Danny Roses is interview a few months ago is very telling. Our window for winning a trophy especially the league is shutting fast. This season is probably our last chance for a long time.

Do you think Chelsea are going to sit on the team that won the league? Of course not as they know next season will be tougher as everyone else is improving.

We need to improve the squad with players that can challenge the first team.

Players will leave otherwise

Who is going to leave?

Chelsea didn't have Europe to contend with.

They didnt and thats why conte is trying to bring in players like bakayoko, rutiger and another striker. He knows whats coming and he will need to rotate.

I can understand peoples frustrations but I reckon all fans will feel the same even citeh fans though they have signed some players they know that defence will get exposed unless fixed.

The transfer fees are very off putting for most clubs. Utd only paid that amount for lukaku because they are desperate yet the rest of the team still sucks.

Lets just be thankful our first 11 is very very good.

You don't think if we don't start winning things OR paying the wages players won't leave? (Or the manager)

Rose has pretty much said that - we need to match the ambition of the players.

The frustration is we need 2 players and we will do what we normally do - try and save money and then spunk a load on crap when we start running out of options.

The players we need are not going to be cheap, the clubs needs to stop trying to get the knock off versions!

As it stands we probably only need 2 players brought in. A CB to cover or play with Toby and Verts and an attacking wide player with pace and dribbling skills. Lemar quality. Everywhere else we are covered.

100m on VVD and lemar job done. Out going players will see us recoup half that. We have the money but we dont want to pay the wages.
