Best performance of the season

Hopefully we can push on from here. The players look like they’ve been allowed to show their talent instead of running up and down the training ground.

Positive for the rest of the season now, where I was fearful the bland tactics were taking us down.

Up the reds.
I thought the Liverpool performance was better personally, but this is certainly up there with Spurs and then the Brentford opening day performance.

We beat Liverpool, but for total dominance I think tonight was better.

Nice try, but it's going to be hard to erase memories of 3-0 at Anfield

It is our biggest away win in Europe ever though

I am sure older fans can tell us where it ranks for European away performances.

I would assume winning at Cologne and Ajax would have to be up there

Need to check. Didn’t we beat Liverpool 1-0 away when they were defending champions ?

Yeah but tonight the opposition were bobbins to be fair and we were fantastic.

I think Liverpool we had to play perfectly at both ends of the pitch and we did.

I dunno, I thought they lacked any real quality. But yes certainly not Liverscum by any stretch.

When they moved the ball more quickly and bypassed our press- something they only managed to do a half dozen times- we looked stretched but never panicked. After the first 10mins they were too occupied getting run down in their own third. I think we were as good as we looked today and the team we thought we had.

They need to demonstrate it wasnt a fluke against THEM.

Certainly not a fluke for sure, we have played poorer teams than this, drawn and even lost.

Very good performance.

We played at least as poor a team as this last week and didn’t beat them.

I still think Brentford on the opening day was our best performance, especially when you see now that Brentford are nowhere near as bad a team as we made them look.

We played in a way that day that was similar to tonight, we pressed high, we used the ball really well, and we never allowed them a moment of peace.

It felt like we might be up there again this season…

That was my thinking as well.

We didn't just beat them, we looked a class above.

Yes, Cologne for me. 3-3 at home left it all to be done.

You have to factor in the opposition.
