"Best performance by any 'keeper wearing a Lincoln shirt that I have seen in 55 years"

There are some very interesting challenges being made here and I am sure that I could also add a few more contenders. Maybe we should have a poll about this?

Felgate away to Scunts, early 80's, should have lost 15 nil, came away with a 0 0, incredible performance.

I'm pretty sure it was 2-2, Hobbo for the Imps - The Scunthorpe Telegraph I recall was quoted as saying Felgate acted as second sweeper behind one T. Peake. I have great memories of that particular match.

The match I recall was early '81 (Jan or Feb). There was plenty of trouble as the gathered Imps were swaying the the covering over the away terrace to Slade's current hit "We will bring your House (ground) Down" and the stewards were chucking Imps out, only to let them back in if they paid to get back in. I think the next time the Imps played the Scunts was a few years later, I recall Felgate was on loan to either Cardiff or Wrexham at the time, that was indeed 0-0.

ah found it, 10th march 1984 0 0 3,889 , thats the one im on about, a few years later than yours.

Think city were 2-1 up with moments to go, cue yet another pitch invasion. There’s been full scale attempts by city fans to take the ‘donny road end’ throughout. Scunts equalised in jury time. Which saw mozzer burton blame the city fans for the scunts goal.
