Ben's new deal..

Even though I don't like him as a wing back he is a good player and can play in numerous positions. Good squad player.

Rose is fragile which is why I understood the rotation strategy last season. Davies of course plays better on a regular run of games.

He does change our dynamic but is trying to get forward more especially in unison with Vert, one goes up, the other stays back.

We are lucky to have such a versatile player. I guess he has not peaked yet either. It took Rose a while.

Great to see another player has committed his future to Spurs. Would still like to see us buy a young wing-back like Sessegnon and give us more tactical options but having Davies on the books is definitely a good thing.

I like him, he's no Rose but he don't have to be, like someone said above he seems to get better with a run of games (makes sense)

If you play Rose too much he breaks down and Davies suffers form wise. I would like them rotated more.

Same, last season the FB's were rotated regularly with no ill effect to the team, but that was playing a back 4.

This season with the back 3, Trippier still looks good enough at WB, but Davies is obviously uncomfortable in that role and a big step down from Rose.

As you say, a decent enough squad player, but perhaps not as useful as he once was if we are sticking to 3 at the back.

If we stick with a back 3 I can see him being used as a LCB during next season.

I can see Wimmer going so maybe Davies can take his spot.

Decent player, but not as a wing back

I'm actually surprised at this one, as he is not suited to this system and he is good enough to be a starter in most PL teams.

But we always play with wing backs regardless of formation. The evidence is there so far Davies is always played as a wing back even though he isn't one.

That must change next season.
