Behind Closed Doors

In today’s briefing First Minister Mark Drakeford says the Omicron virus is not projected to peak in Wales for another 10-14 days. After that we need to see a downward trend in infections before lifting restrictions.
Behind closed doors it is then, and for a while yet.

Next home match after the FA Cup tie tomorrow is in two weeks time, Swans v Preston on Saturday 22nd January.

Good on our ex-Chairman Trevor Birch, now the EFL Chairman. Apparently he’s written to the Welsh Government urging them to reconsider their ban on fans attending EFL matches. He says it puts the Welsh clubs at a disadvantage from the English clubs in the EFL with no such ban in place for them, plus the loss of gate revenue.
Mark Drakeford however will not budge and is standing firm on his decision for the time being.
