Beard, stubble & clean shaved.

In the workplace;

Beard is ok.
Clean shaved is ok.
Stubble is unacceptable.

Surely a case for discrimination?

How do you get a beard without going through the stubble phase? Or do you need to book time off for that?

Some girls would disagree. And who is the decider on what is untidy and what is ok?

My wife is quite partial for a bit of stubble on a guy. I want to know how a beard is ok but stubble is not ok? Who defines the length of a beard as being ok or not ok?

If it's good enough for Paul Lambert, then it should be good enough for the rest of us.
Freeze the thread.

It's all dependant on the circumstance and in the real world its up to the individual management. Different roles have different requirements. For example in my industry it's normal for men to either have a beard or be clean shaven, wear a suit and tie and avoid multi coloured hair and facial tattoos. That may be inappropriate dress for a different industry.

Yep, I'm not a fan of dictatorship, power, control, Red tape & judgemental stuff. I like the, live and let live motto.

I'd go as far as to say the discrimination against stubble is the biggest miscarriage of justice this century

It's up there with the mistreatment of left-handers.

Why is it ok to have a beard but not ok to have a stubble? Are you, as a boss, not discriminating against the individual's personal choice of how he wants to look? I am on the understanding that if an employee can carry out his role effectively with a beard, then surely the same applies with stubble? Which means it comes down to a discrimination issue.

What time do you start drinking ?

Well, I shave about 15 minutes ago, so I'm smooth.......

Must admit, I do only shave once over the weekend usually though.

Some men suit beards, some don't, some suit moustaches, some don't, some can do both together, some can't, some people can wear designer stubble, some can't and others look better clean shaven. Some can do any of those looks and look great. Few can though

Simples! :14:
