Once again, we are forced to offer our condolences and solidarity after another couple of barbaric acts.

I hope they string the Islamic state sympathizers up by their balls.
 
This sickened me. He drove at speeds of around 50 mph . People are saying it's an easy terror tool. But does it need to be ?

It was a hire van , hired by an Asian guy. That would set alarm bells for me as a hire van company. They have to see his licence so whoever it is can be checked. Name and address , photo ID.That could be run through a police computer . The vehicle should have a tracker on it so can be pinpointed by the Police.

Any dense pedestrian area should have rising bollards at either end to prevent unauthorised access to vehicles. You see them in many of our cities already.

A student on holiday in Barca was also in London when the bridge attack happened and Manchester. She said wherever she goes there is an attack. She's unlucky but it is almost becoming normal.

Some people on holiday witnessed the carnage and saw people lying in the street not moving. They said they are going to continue the holiday. I'm not sure I could. I would want out of there . The images would be in my head all the time.

Barca was on a 4 level alert of an incident out of 5. Why are people allowed on the streets in that density with such an alert. 4 means an attack is highly likely FFS. Oh we won't let it change our lives they say. 13 or more have list theirs, the families will suffer greatly of course. With a level 4 alert it should affect our lives.
 
Nick he was Moroccan - the number of people from Morocco in Spain (legally) or of Moroccan descent is in excess of a million., add the illegals in from North Africa and you've got a very large population - I state this so that you realise that the van hirer was not 'Asian' and the hire company probably would have had not reason to be suspicious.

Almost certainly now security will have to be reviewed for any major foot thoroughfare that has high tourist usage.

Whilst your questions are all valid, what's clear is our ability to police to the extent to stop these atrocities is almost impossible.

Sadly, they will continue in Europe and here with no effective way to stop them or deprive them of the support they have in their local communities.

People from the area are saying the street should have had bollards at each end due to the many pedestrians using it etc. It has tables and chairs outside restaurants. It's asking for trouble.

People say they will not change their way of life. That's ok, you only get one life. I would suggest thinking carefully about the surroundings you are exposing you and your loved ones to.

Don't worry Nick, the Politicians will keep telling us that 'we're all in this together and won't be defeated'...and the liberals will keep blaming the society they now live in.

Meanwhile, the bodies will keep piling up.
 
We are having to protect ourselves from a small percentage of a section of our population. We know what their profiles are. So they need to be found and taken out of society. We even know the names of 25,000 of them.

The actual number is of course higher but that's a start.

Theresa May said enough is enough so let's see some heavy handed reaction to the problem. Softly softly will take too long.
 
Theresa May knows not what actions are needed to back up those words...the truth is. it is impossible to stop and all governments have no answer to these guerilla tactics.......if we continue for example to allow those minority of vitrioli mullahs and clerics to spout forth hatred and help radicalisation as they cower under human rights laws and clever lawyers at tax payer expense then it will worsen for sure..... the majority peace loving British muslims who abhor these acts and who themselves suffer racial hatred as a result must help to identify and shop the culprits within their niche part of society.
 
Then the other 70% must step up before those moderate 30%'ters move closer to radicalisation...

If any of my neighbours were up to no good, be it theft, noise, antisocial or more devious activity I would report them hatever their persuasion....

sort out yer doorsteps!

I simply detest the protection of the perpetrators to the detriment of the victms under human rights...the wosre is the denial of a family life as an excuse for not being deported.....well what about the victoms and their rights to a family life which have been dedtroyed forever...makes my blood boil!
 
Both of my immediate recommendations of bollards and van rental controls have been mentioned by authorities.

I should be Prime Minister really.
