Bale

With more talk of bale maybe possibly coming back to the premier league what's your opionons on him returning to the lane?
Utd city and chavs have all been touted as possibly destinations but is there a chance if he does move that he could be tempted back? Madrid surely owe us money still from the sale and we have a fair bit of dead wood to move on could this be possible

I really hope he doesn't go to the chavs. Bale, hazard and costa as a front 3 would be devastating. I'm not sure he would come to us. Could we even afford to pay him 150k+ a week.

It would be nice to think him and Modders would like the idea of coming back and turning us into a PL winning side, they would go down in history. But unfortunately modern day footballers do not think like that, sad as they are already set for life and could make the dream come through for so many fans.

I think he'd come back but only if we were willing to pay a wage of about £200K a week. So realistically the only chance of that happening is if we get in new billionaire owners, which I wouldn't rule out completely in the next 2-3 years.

I think there are restrictions on the amount that could be put towards wages. Though i could be wrong.

Real not paying all the fee would put us in an advantageous position to start off negotiations for transfer fee.

If we sold on a number of players this season it would go somewhere near covering the money we owe clubs that we bought players from after bales departure.

He speaks highly of his time here, but if we some how found a genie who would allow us to match potential wages with united or chelsea (That's a Disney level Genie), would he choose us? Or would he take the chance to emulate his favourite player Ryan Giggs. Someone said that van gaal isn't keen even though his bosses are.

I think the only thing we really have in our favour would be the money Real owe us.

Just won't happen IMO, if he was 30 he may come back but not now.

Spot on.

Commercially we're not big enough, plus unless Perez is removed getting Bale back into the PL will never happen.

Buying Bale now would cost around £100 million and he'd demand wages of around £350-£400k per week.

That's fairyland stuff for us, plus he'd never ever join a club who aren't at the top table, and we aren't.

No way will he come back to us. He wants to win things for f**** sake!

And that as they say, is the final be all and end all of this thread! :10: :1:

Yep. He will go to a club who are a serious contender for the PL. We are struggling for top 5 at the moment lol.

Even if real do owe us money that doesn't put us in pole position. The amount of clubs that would be trying to get him would see us out the running.

The sooner he leaves RM or to be more precise the company of Ronaldo the better. I hear the calling of Bayern Munich for him loud and clear... Bale under the tutorledge of Gardiola? Mouth watering ...

He isn't worth that, so wouldn't want him back for that.

100k-150k a week player, probably worth 30-40m.

This.

'worth/value as a player on the pitch' will have little to do with it in reality - to a club with a global fanbase they'll make half the transfer fee back in merchandising and other commercial sponsorship deals - and like RM they'll do that within the first six months.

Over the term of his contract they'll make every penny back what they paid for him and have a sizable residual value, plus even more lucrative exploitation deals if they they win anything.

So, it's just a business deal like any other.

There's lots of talk of him coming back to the PL, but he in no way wants to. He's absolutely fallen in love with Real Madrid as a club. If he were to return to the PL I'd predict it will be in a couple of seasons time.

The funny thing is, I actually think we are 3 world class players away from winning the PL. If we signed Bale, Modric and Hummels I think we'd be a real force, as long as we kept the likes of Kane, Lloris and Eriksen to compliment them.

Bale has been an embarrasment for Madrid from what I've seen recently with his salivating over Ronaldo,he has stunk the place out and acted like a pussy taking a back seat just to appease Ronaldo, shows a weak mentality,in my mind he could have been just as good as Ronaldo if he carried on where he left of with us and took that next step, and rd you are ******* bonkers if you think bale is a 30 to 40 mill player n todays market,or a 100-150 grand a week player,Rooney is on double that and the bale that left us who is much younger shits all over Rooney who is a good player in his own right,as for his wages do me a favour useless Walcott is on 100 grand a week and wants more, bale is ten times the player Walcott is and that's not and exaggeration,so Bale back at his best is easily worth the top money he is earning if managed properly,he just needs a slap from a manager that makes him wake the fuck up because he is so much better than what he is showing,if I were utd I would break the bank to get him there..

lol slag him off for a weak mentality then big him up for being one of the best. Only you could do that gridds.

I like the dig at Walnut though.
