What a team. What an achievement. Remember at the time I couldn't believe we'd actually gone and done it, 40 years on there's still an element of disbelief.

VILLA LEGENDS TO SIGN FOR DUNCAN EDWARDS At the Memories and Memorabilia Football Fair

Aston Villa Legends will be at the Memories and Memorabilia Football Fair at the Copthorne Hotel in Dudley on Sunday, November 13th - to raise funds for the Duncan Edwards Peace Field Project at The Dell Stadium in Dudley.

Aston Villa’s First Division Champions and 1982 European Cup Winners, Dennis Mortimer, Tony Morley and Colin Gibson will be signing autographs and posing for photographs with visitors holding the European Cup.

They will be joined by Dave Bennett (Coventry City), Jim McCalliog (Wolves and Scotland) Bob Taylor (West Bromwich Albion) plus Roy of the Rovers - in ‘Comic Strip’ form to celebrate his 65th Anniversary with his creator - Paul Trevillion.

There will be a wide range of Aston Villa vintage memorabilia on sale including limited edition prints of the original Ukraine poster for the Dynamo Kiev v Aston Villa game from 1982, fully signed European Cup Final Shirts, 1957 Cup Final items, and personal memorabilia donated from the players own collections.

Running from 10am to 4pm, the event will showcase an extensive range of vintage football memorabilia for sale from some of the country’s top dealers and collectors.

Admission for Adults is £10 with children under 16 FREE and includes free autographs and photographs with guest players who will pose with visitors holding full size replicas of the FA Cup, the European Cup and the World Cup trophy.

All profits from the event will go to the Duncan Edwards Peace Field Project.
