Augmented Reality

So with all the hype surrounding Pokemon Go, discussion over dinner last night turned to augmented reality in general.

The biggest question was what happens when first person shooter games start using this technology? Or mission related ninja style games?

Did you see Intel's wireless augmented reality Headset?

I've seen a few early military applications and it holds the potential to be an intensive immersive training 'game changer', this application area and others will make autobots/Humans 'in the battlezone' a reality in the near future.

It's one thing trying to avoid running over Pokeheads, it's entirely another thing trying to avoid running over someone who looks like an alien with a plastic assault rifle sold for the benefit of enhancing the experience.

Eh? I live north of the border!

But in all seriousness the implications are quite terrifying. This people that were caught up in the dungeons and dragons role playing will have nothing on this next round of trivial pursuits.

Tools.

The capacity for their use for good or evil will never leave us even if the method of their use does.
