DS isn’t naive, he’s got 7 years or so worth of managerial experience so he’s not naive.
He is learning the squad, what the players can and can’t do. It’ll take him at least 3 transfer windows to sort the weak defence and a lack of good options in depth out.
He’s made some brave calls that have worked. I remember on here lots of calls for Whelan to step for the game against Bolton, luckily DS went with the right attacking option JG, Conor and SJM and we won.
We’re only a goalie and defender away from looking like we could every game by 2 goals.
It’s more important that we finish strongly in this league anyway as automatic is a very long shot given the average points per game we’d have to accumulate.
