Looked organised under the cosh, broke away and should have taken the lead.

Had more shots on target than Villa.

Undone by not whacking it upfield to close the first half, conceding again straight after HT, and Victor going walkabout. Can't legislate for at least 2 of those.
 
Well i for one still hope we can have a run in the FA Cup , otherwise our season looks like it amounts to just hoping there are 3 sides shitter than us to stay up . The Europa league will be a welcome distraction too .
 
Not keen on the rope-a-dope myself, but it almost worked. If we'd gone for a high pressing game first half we'd have been knackered by HT as their passing was exceptional.

So undone by playing shit basically and not getting the bare basics right . You obviously don't set the the bar very high if you genuinely think that was OK .

No, undone by two glaring errors in an otherwise disciplined performance where we had more goal threats than a form side at their place.

Felt we had doe OK first half before Milo gave Whatkins two yards of space.
Watched second half in horror in a local pub, surrounded by Lesta fans, here is a stat I showed them before leaving with Wolves 2 up HT.

'Wolves are leading by 2+ goals in a Premier League game for the first time since April (v Leicester); before today, they had gone 12 consecutive matches without leading at any point'.

What do you mean?

I suggested we played a style in the first half which prevented us being knackered at HT and you reply 'So why weren't they knackered then?' What I said.

Or do you mean Villa? Well since they broke the spell and scored on the stroke of HT, then added another soon after the break, they weren't knackered. The Sky commentators were drooling about how they might get 4 or 5 - but instead we got one back, and if JV hadn't gone walkabout, who knows?
 
Anyhow, we're still 4 points clear of the dreaded zone and our GD advantage over West Ham has increased by 1.

Before kick off, that's all we could realistically have hoped for.

Plenty of worries, but it could be worse.
 
Seriously though, my big worry is our midfield.

Anderson and MGW have both played for England recently, Dominguez is an eager beaver and Douglas Luis is proven quality (though maybe past it). Why can't they play together?

Praying for Yates to return.

Because Anderson is off it recently, Dominguez watched the game pass him by… and luiz still coming back from fitness

100% this plus we can’t keep playing as badly well take a 1-0 lead at some point and then every little is gonna be Sean Dyche our problem is if we don’t score first we are fucked and fat Ange took us so far backwards it’s criminal
