Aston Villa v Middlesbrough, Tuesday 12thSept. 7:45pm kick off

Lovely straight from work , get home at 10.15 and up for work at 5am , I fecking hate night matches unless we win .
I'm guessing we'll have Onegoalayear "leading " the line and Koj coming off the bench for the last 15 to try and salvage something .
Just hope Jedi starts at least we might get a 0-0.

Adama might be a bit quick for our guys [understatement]

I'm surprised he never jumped ship , I guess nobody wanted him .
Perhaps we should play Gabby at left back :10:

I think you've all forgotten that Gestede and Adoma were just other crap buys along with some of those still playing for us. Shit or bust reaction 3 - 1 Villa.

Speaking for myself, I was being facetious, tongue firmly in cheek. I was merely suggesting it would be typical Villa to concede goals from players deemed surplus to requirements here.

I am well aware Gestede and Adama are shite, or at least, they were in claret and blue.

The point is, I expect us to lose on Tuesday night.

The only people in danger from Adama are the fans in row z from his crosses.

Rudy is injured which is a shame as we won't be able to win the ball back every time he miscontrols it .

There I hve said it now.

Apparently Rudy is injured so his guaranteed goal against us will have to wait. Adama apparently had a stormer yesterday which even if it's true doesn't worry me as he doesn't strike me as the consistent type. They'll still have too much for us though. Bruce will send us out to play on the back foot and we won't recover. 2-0 Middlesbrough.

Sold my seat on seatwave as I'm at work, almost glad I'm not going after Saturday. Certainly won't be going the cup game a week later either

Was so looking forward to this double header of games at villa park.

After yesterday I am dreading this match.

Absolute bollox of a season. Again !

I'll be there. Christ knows why but, since the the alternative is going to a pub quiz, I think I'll probably struggle down to B6.

Cheer up, let them come, we can thrash them. It's only Middlesborough. Believe!!! No, I don't either....

We could do something radical like playing all three of our right wingers on the right wing, compensating by redefining the middle as over on the left. It might confuse them. It certainly can't confuse our players any more than they already are.

Sounds like he'll freshen it up as the poor little things are a bit tired. Ridiculous.

Bree, Green, Onomah and Davies won't be involved.

I'd also 'rest' Whelan as I thought he was shocking on Saturday. He looks so unfit.

I'd go with -

Johnstone

Hutton
Chester
Terry
Taylor

Adomah
Jedinak
Hourihane
Snodgrass

Lansbury

Hogan

yep it'll be a relief to get those pesky kids out of the team.
five at the back or 5 in midfield
with just the goal machine upfront.

:26:

Such is the unpredictable nature of this league that it wouldn't surprise me if we won this.

I hope Davis plays though , be so wrong to ditch him after 1 quiet game and we will still need someone capable of holding the ball up.

Wtf has happened to the good old days...dalian,deano...teale mcgrath..tony daley, ian taylor..i look bk and remember we would tear teams apart with counter attacking free flowing football..such a shame!..i take my kids to todays games thinking one day it will all come back and get that holte end rocking again...its not gna happen is it!

Completely agree. But unfortunately, I don't trust Bruce to demonstrate such enlightened thinking, and assuming JK isn't fit, I'd bet good money that Flabby will be given the chance to show how dangerous he is at this level.

Davies was hung out to dry on Saturday at times Hourihane the nearest player to him must have been 30 yards or more from him creating this lovely big void for the little ginger dynamo to strut his stuff unbelievable and Bruce seemed like the only one inside VP who didn't spot it either that or he just didn't have a clue what to do about it

Yes JPA it seems so predicatable sadly.

Would love to tear it up and play O'Hare , Doyle-Hayes , Davis & co.
