Aston Villa home and away shirt for 2017/2018?

wittonite - 1/7/2017 11:48

away strip reminds me of United kit of a few years back. Didnt like that dont like this.
Claret n blue please.

I think that's why it does not sit well with me.

Just don't get all the fuss , £55 for a shirt that probably costs a quid to make in some sweatshop .
Lets be honest there's not much you can do with a Villa shirt it's going to be Claret and light blue , take the sponsor off and you be struggling to tell one from another .
As others have said lets hope we get promoted in it ! :4:

Ha, no Fear in the kit launch this season thank goodness. The new home and away kits for the 2017/18 season.

It's a football kit. Meh. If we get promoted in it, I'll be far more excited, but otherwise, just another £60 for gullible fans, as we know full well there will be another on along next season.

Also, our socks should be blue not claret, and I always prefer a white away kit.

6/10 for me.

Agree on the socks but hate the black away shirt .........

Have they changed the club crest/badge from the shitty one Lerner left us with?

Always think that it would be great to have an option to buy the kits without the sponsors on. The sponsorship is of the players etc not fans. I realise most want the exact replica, I'd like them without a brand as they would then be more a casual top.

I like the quality of UA I have to say. Not 100% sure on the little lions on the kits at the moment but got to see the shirt in the flesh so to speak before really knowing. Being sent one so that's nice!

But much like a few others, I'm not that bothered (personally, I realise some are) as long as we win in them!

Both kits are fine in my humble.
As of 4 years ago , the landing cost on a football shirt was about £5 , I was told this by the bloke from umbro who dealt with john terry.

Awful.
Those little lions look, well, poncie

Away kit. Black. Worse. Looks like a training top. White all the way for otherwise not interested.

Hopefully Terry hasn't seen it yet otherwise he will be off elsewhere*

*not that he has signed yet. So I don't curse it!.

And yes where is the hunky bloke that they used last year?. Obviously the club were so overwhelmed with fan mail from young ladies that they decided against it again.

I think last years kit was better.

Hate having betting companies as sponsors as it means my 8 year old son will have to wear one that is different to what the players wear which makes a big difference to him.

We had this issue when Dafabet were our sponsors as the kids jerseys are not allowed to have betting logos on.

The woman in the club shop advised us to buy the smallest women's top which had the sponsor on. My lad was none the wiser. Although he was 10 I think at the time, so you might not find a small enough on for an 8-year old.

Like the home kit , although would prefer blue socks . Away kit meh would prefer white but I think they have gone for black at Gabby and McCormacks request as black makes people look slimmer.

They said at the meeting on Wednesday that because JF hadn't mentioned last year much they thought he wasn't bothered and decided against using him.

Must admit I really like Under Armour stuff , never really heard of it before they tied up with Villa .
I now have 16 pairs of UA boxer shorts , I find they keep the wedding tackle secure and cool .

Yes I know too much info :12:

Seem to be bucking the trend in here in my opinion, I like them both. The only thing I don't like is the claret socks over the usual blue but not ever gonna wear the whole kit anyway. Betting sponsors just seem to be the norm at the moment but at least it isn't one with Chinese hieroglyphics all over it (Like West Brom.). The little lions on the home shirt remind me of the '95-'97 shirt which I've always loved, hopefully we can get promoted in it to make it a memorable shirt!

Haha Col you know that's Pants !

I like both of them. I like the away not being white or inverted claret and blue, it all gets too samey.

The only thing I don't like is the sponsor. I don't care that it's Unibet, just the way it's printed on the shirt. Looks shite.
