Aston Villa home and away shirt for 2017/2018?

Is this real or a fake?

What type of kit would you like to see this forthcoming season?

"A nice bit of photo editing? Or the new Aston Villa shirt?

The images below are doing the rounds on the internet with speculation mounting that they could be the real thing.

We are of course at that time of the year when mock-ups start arriving on social media sites, and nothing should be believed until official confirmation from the club itself.

These mock-ups show Under Armor shirts complete with 'Millennium Films' as the sponsor."

Oh for the days when there was not this annual carry on.
There is only so much you can do with claret and blue.

I agree with you BBJ.

I would love to see a shirt that is traditional, classy, instantly recognisable as - We are Aston Villa Football Club.

I bought a 1982 Champions of Europe shirt a few years ago. That's me done for Villa shirts for as long as it lasts.

Claret and blue, round badge, no sponsors, lovely.

the first kit I ever saw and probably my favorite. It simply says: We are the Villa.....

I have a pretty big collection of villa and England shirts (And other shirts from abroad) which'll one day make some good money, some of them already would! My favourites are the 90-92 (Umbro), 93-95 (Asics) and 95-97 (Reebok). The goalie shirts from this era are pretty tragic yet somewhat a thing of beauty and so, so 90's!

It more than probably be like that, but I would very much doubt that is the actual one - the arms are green for a start.

The "57" badge or the "Round" badge is Aston Villa , and either should be brought back (and I think they will do within a year or two. The 57 was sitting on top of the Trinity Road for 80 odd years , and the round one was our most successful period.

I am having the 57 one tattooed onto my left shoulder on Monday so if they would bring it back, it would be appreciated.

the away effort will look like a relief map of the Himalayas when Gabby squeezes into it after pre-season

I hope that article is fake news, terrible. 81-2 team kit was good. I hate collars, grandad shirts, prefer round necks to v necks BUT 81-2 is good, nice round Villa badge , not a sign of an ad - I know I know ... 2004-5 was also ok but without 'Cows' on the front.

Home shirt horrendous if true (although I assume the sleeves won't actually be that colour?)

Away kit not too bad.

Not especially interested if I'm honest, I only have a couple of retro shirts, which I rarely wear anyway.

The tight fitting style of these modern shirts, I have decided are not a good look for a 42 year old man. So cannot see me getting a replica shirt again.
Keep looking at the retro shirts. The 81 or 82 ones. Just haven't got round to buying.

I have an original 80 in the loft. That won't fit now though. I was 6!

I still have my original 1982 away shirt somewhere. Saw some action that season it did . Slept on the floor on the ferry in it on the way back from anderlecht and got some oil on it which never washed out. It will be never thrown away though it will be put in the coffin with me.

why do the modern shirts have to have buttons or laces or whatever on them. why not just be a football shirt like they were when I was a kid. Fine to have the Umbro diamond or the addidas stripe thing as part of the design but footie shirts aren't casual wear so no need for buttons etc. My first Villa shirt was the umbro one with the diamonds down the sleeve just like my first Scotland top - proper kits.

1983-4 was my favourite kit, as seen here. Not sure I can remember the name of Steve McMahon's midfield partner though. I don't remember Dennis Mortimer with this hairstyle.... :3:

Brings back memories that kit JPA.

I had that shirt as a kid. It got chewed by my hamster when my mum left the washing pile too close to the cage. Good taste my hamster !.

My favourite kit will always be 92-93. The one with the laces.

Yes, the 92-93 kit will certainly go down in history. Didn't like the laces at first, but was definitely a classic.

The 83-84 kit as above was my first love though :31:

And the badge was better too.

I would actually miss the pre-season leaked shirt thread, its tradition damn it.

Whilst on the subject of kits ...

FOOTBALL fans are being snowed under with new home kits for next season.

But none stand out, or more bizarre than Spanish side Atletico Astorga’s new ‘Incredible Hulk’ home kit.

Home shirt looks like something you would buy down the rag alley. Cheap looking shit.
Away one not any better.
