"Birmingham's very own rock legend Tony Iommi has revealed that he wants the band to play a one-off gig at Villa Park.

Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, and Geezer Butler are all well known Aston Villa fans and now their dreams of gracing the famous stadium could become a reality.

In a recent interview, Iommi has admitted that it would be a gig that would interest the band who would be 'up for it', should the opportunity arrive."

I actually suggested this a year or so back, thought it would have been an epic final concert venue as they all lived so close to VP as kids.

My mate is a chauffeur for Iommi and sometimes Butler. Also put it to the club as some of them have contacts with Sabbath.

Surprised they didn't do it as their final concert of their farewell tour.

It really has to be doesn't it. It opens with 'Black Sabbath' with the stage facing the North Stand .... Ozzy opens with 'What is this that stands before me?'
Two years later to the day, the new end is opened and it is called the 'Sir Ron Saunders Stand'.

perhaps put the gig on after we have won promotion back to the top flight as part of the celebrations and invite bluenose Rob Halford as a support act to show him what a proper stadium looks like and symbolise that Blues will always be second best to us

Fcuk Blues, all the time they spend looking at Villa telling us that they will SOTV even when they go through to a Cup Final at Wembley they spend the game singing about the Villa. :19:

Not sure about this suggestion but perhaps they could play the last track on side 2 of Paranoid - Fairies Wear Blue
