A nurse sacked over the use of a hospital inhaler during a suspected asthma attack has won her renewed legal battle against the misconduct finding. The Court of Appeal quashed a second industrial tribunal's decision that Caroline Connolly had been fairly dismissed.

How in God's name did this require an appeal?

At best to be fair she could receive a warning for 'leaving on a desk' and not disposing of correctly and waiting two days to 'inform' and report but even then latitude for panic and then subsequent panic surely.

Charge her for the wasted inhaler even as opposed to warning and sacking would make more sense?

But even then, had she waited what would the cost and further loss have been (to other patients) had she had a full blown attack whilst on duty??

But hey ho, nurses are paid like shit, treatments are cut as they go in search of cost savings measures - how much were the lawyers paid for this batshit action?

Shut that door!..... common sense has just left the building!

Thankfully she won her legal battle though, and quite right too.
