As If!

The Fear

A Wise Man (once sat next to him)
As if I just did a professional photo shoot for Men's Health!

Kept it quiet until now apart from a few who knew, just in case I wasn't meant to mention it OR I didn't like how it went.

Must admit, that was an awesome experience, dead chuffed and some of the photos, as they said, were bad ass!

Got a 1 in 5 chance of the front cover, apparently I'm the most ripped, but will depend what they are looking for as to who makes it. But definitely will be in the feature. It's the 'Heroes' edition, US version of the magazine have done it a few years, I've seen it. This is the first UK edition. It's basically about those with health/other issues who use training despite the limitations.

They took some boxing photos, got to say they looked pretty cool the way they set it up. I smashed the bag so hard a few times I broke the cable in two places... a first for me!

They certainly took their time, interviewed me, then did some great photos... really nice folks, great experience. A few times whilst preparing (I've been going hell for leather as much as brain aches will allow, also had a slightly annoying ligament issue in the arm to work around) I did wonder if it would be a bit embarrassing or ... dunno. But mostly focussed on getting prepared the best I can... they came at 2:30 and have only just left 6pm. Two of them said it is the favourite feature they have worked on and the most motivating for them as healthy dudes.

Had to smile, the one interviewed Mark Walhburg for the last edition, today he got to interview The Fear!!!

Out in September this one I think. Or might be the September issue, if so that is out August. Dunno!

Quite humbled by their comments, especially when I thought it was lights out game over in 2012... 29 months later and this!

Nice one Fear!!! I will have to look out for it. It's just what we've all been waiting for - semi naked photos of you!!!!! :10: :10: :10: :10:

So proud of a couple of the boxing shots, surprised myself because I'm my own biggest critic!

It certainly is an achievement, and due reward for all the hard work you've put in. I remember when I used to weight train, and how hard it was.

Looking forward to reading the interview.

Deano dude the lying ba**ad told me you was having a womens pair of boobies surgically installed,,,,,but he also mentioned a gay magazine shoot so not sure if Deano is winding me up cos magazine,,,gay magazine there is defo something to this!

Glad it went well , funnily enough I had a free copy of Mens Health come with my Runners World magazine.

If the issue dates are the same then I have just had my August edition of Runners World so September will be out in around a months time.

It is amazing cos i have knew lads who have trained for years since we was younger yet never got that far etc, so well done Fear dude inspirational stuff!

Thanks folks.

Yes, the one guy today thought Sept issue which is out in Aug. But think the dep ed was talking about the issue out in September which would be the Oct one... mad how mags do this isn't it?!

Will let you fine folks know when I know!

The photographer also said he'll happily send me any of the images the magazine doesn't use which is good of him, many photographers would rather scrap them than do a nice thing like that.

Excellent mate. I'm glad it's actually come off, quite an achievement and a testament to positive thinking.
Plus Deano gets to have a magazine for his "stash"

Well played mate, really chuffed for you!!!

2012 - nearly lights out

2015 - men's health

2018 - getting those fake boobies and a vadge installed? We can only dream!

So will we be able to call him Caitlin then? Plus I thought that was a secret Deano? Only known on the secret mods board.

Proud of you not only for having the shoot but having the courage to get up and train with all your "problems"

I did already know obviously #justsaying

Well , yes, obviously you knew, I knew you knew.

That's brilliant mate well done. Men's health mag is the big league so it doesn't get much better than that. Look forward to seeing it. In years to come that is going to be something very nice to look back on for you.

Appreciated mate. :35:

Thanks Bikini, agreed. Was pretty surprised when they emailed saying I'd been selected, then chuffed, then gulp...!
