ARTICLE: City Sign Striker From Championship Side - HAVE A READ!

He was a handful when we played at Derby just over a year ago and if part of his job is to act as mentor to both Freddie and Jovon then this ticks a few boxes. Not all as the pace aspect of our game still needs refreshing, but I do think it'll be more Matt Rhead that Steve Torpey.

Credit where it’s due, this is an astute signing.

Just what the doctor ordered.

UTI!
We now need to sign either a pacy winger who can cross the ball and/or a creative midfielder with the ability to make defence splitting passes. Chris Wood would have been nothing this season without the supply from Gibbs-White, Elanga and Hudson-Odoi.

Based on that last comment from Jez in the article - feels like a signing showing we haven't given up on top 6...

You can listen to his interview here...

Well we are only 6 points off 6th (accepted several clubs have a couple of games in hand)
Yep. The form has been so bad that I'd sort of ruled that out (but we probably shouldn't - I don't think it's a great league this season out of a small handful and a lot of the bigger budgets have underperformed).

Big acid test to see if all we were missing was a goalscorer this!

You don’t think cLucas can pass a ball forward?

Just the signing we needed to restore the goal threat and add the much needed experience of a proven goalscorer into the squad. Alongside the set piece deliveries from Sam Clucas we also have Reeco Hackett and Erik Ring to provide crosses from either flank.
The recruitment team have worked overtime to get this deal done and it will be fascinating to see how the team evolves from here.
