ARTICLE: City Sign Former Nottingham Forest Right-Back - HAVE A READ & DISCUSS HERE!

Lots of experience so will hopefully be another decent signing. Certainly in an area that we need strengthening.

Didn’t recognise the name immediately so i assumed was a youngster. Couldn’t have been more wrong! Captained Wigan so hopefully a leader on the pitch.
MS comments mentioned Right Wing Back in his comments interestingly.

"...different strengths but still the physical attributes a Lincoln City right wing-back requires."

We're quite fluid but interesting that wing back is mentioned. I wonder whether he's seen as a bit more of a natural defender than Sorenson.

Was a winger until converted to a full-back in his early twenties. Interestingly, the article calls him a right-back while Skubala calls him a wing-back. So, entirely possible we will play him as a traditional defender in some games and as a wingback in others.

6’2” according to the stats so we have definitely added a bit more overall height in this close season.

An excellent signing, 32 games for a top flight Cypriot side and was very impressive at Wigan … a 1 year contract isn’t really a gamble is it?
👍🏻

I plugged my I-Pad in for a 20 minute recharge and - hey presto, we’ve signed another player. Great to see we are signing experience as well as youth, but with greater experience. If they gel together well we could have a very strong squad this season, at last. Can’t wait for the season to start (though I’m fairly sure we probably have another one or two to join us yet). The great thing is they are all ours, but we can still make use of the loan market for an extra bit of quality if we need. Great also that we are getting everything done early so they can have a full pre-season together with MS instilling his structure and way of playing, etc. All confirms we should be building on last year hopefully 🤞🤞

Can you plug it in again later?!

Recognised the name and immediately thought there's a bit of experience added right there. All teams need those wise old heads and as a 1 year free transfer absolutely a good signing this.

A 32yo wing back answers one question and poses a 2nd. Looks like 3 at the back, but he will want cover, will Benn be elevated to the 1st team squad or will we sign a younger one that fits 'the model'.

Benn is 23 next month. I expect he'll be the competition for the RWB spot this season otherwise he might as well be moved on as we've done with Sam Long
