The Gunners play tonight with their Champions League lives on the line. A loss would surely put them out of a spot in the knockout rounds, especially if there is a winner in the other game. They would be 6 points from advancing and 3 points from the Europa League. Certainly not an easy hill to climb.

This begs the question - what do you want to happen? Do you want the Gunners scraping through to the knockout stages or the Europa League, or would you rather they be out? I think I'd prefer if they had to travel for an extra round of fixtures in the Europa League, as playing no football at all mid-weeks would only give them a better shot at moving to the top of the table.

Had a discussion on Twitter tonight with a Blue who lives out in Greece following the results tonight.

Point made that it was a good one for Arsenic, but a better one for Olympiakos.
If the home teams in round 4 win (Munich, Olympiakos), then Arsenic and Zagreb will be 6 points behind with two games to go - a lot to make up/nigh impossible.

It seems Arsenic go to Greece last, and Olympiakos may need just a point to go through. A tough call for my fellow Blue, but given recent history (Munich, Monaco) would Arsenic get a result but fall short? Goal difference, head to head, Pellegrini/Munich away may become scenarios here.

I strongly suspect the Londoners (certainly their fans) may prefer to finish bottom rather than play Thursday/Sunday?
