The Saudi guy blaming the season starting for not going through with it but apparently the EFL and IFR had cleared the deal weeks ago, so it sounds like an excuse and Derby have been strung along.

EDIT - Might be a lucky escape for Derby because if you've seen the guy on Netflix series about Matchroom then he comes across as a right numpty.

While I will always support unions, the PFA are absolute idiots on this sort of stuff. Football is not sustainable, and there need to be drastic changes to ensure their members will have jobs in the future. Most L1 footballers are already paid way more than the average person, it's ridiculous.
