Are the authorities bent or not

Now I say this as a victim or a deserved victim of circumstances. My daughter and her husband and my grand kids got turned over last weekend for the only reason my son in law sat with me a couple of times in a pub in the presence of well known drug dealers who I happen to know. Now i'm no angel my last sentence was 8 years for robbery but it was against another gangster but I got what I deserved ok and I done it.But now they seem to want to bust me for something i'm not involved in.I know why because I had a fight with a off duty copper and bust his jaw they arrested me and I got a caution the next day why because the so called copper beat my mate up after I was took away and surprise it was all on cctv so bent or what

For a minute I thought 100% had spilled in here with the title saying Bent Haha

There will always be bent people in the forces, in any walk of life. People don't expect it to happen but it does.

Naivety if people really think there aren't bent authority because there are. They do it amongst themselves too so the average citizen law abiding or not if they come across the wrong copper can be in trouble for doing nothing if it so suits

Did you of all people really need to ask? Didn't you know people who were set up while you were in? Police, politicians, judges, social services, It's all about the money money money and looking after each other.

I think most people can recall a situation where "the autorities " have acted inappropriatly, i have witnessed the police on one occassion blatently lying in court and i know they are lying because i witnessed the event and their testimony ended in a conviction.

It happens all over the world.

Here in Indonesia, the word I hear on TV when I bother to look at it is "korupsi" - Corruption to you and me. It's money and or greed everywhere. It's not happened to me, but if you get stopped by the police here, a few thousand rupiar and you're let off at roadside.... saves them doing the paperwork..............

Well no I didn't really Steff I have knew for years I remember though when they used to put you in a cell wrap you in a thin mattress and give you a good kicking but that usually meant the score was settled (the mattress was to stop any bruising).I think 98% of the prison population are innocent and been set up apparently according to them so big pinch of salt there but yeah I do know of some cases where there's been a genuine set up.Just wanted to hear the views of others.

Without a doubt Kefkat but I just think now it's worse than ever there used to be a moral code now anything goes.

Been to Rio and that was exactly the same over there the taxi's never stop at red lights when they have fares on board because gangs wait at them with guns to rob the passengers. One night four of us were going to Help which was the biggest nightclub in Rio at the time when the coppers flagged our taxi down after a brief chat with the driver he turned round to us and said the coppers want money or they will arrest us for the possesion of cocaine which the copper was waving at us.So we all had to get out the taxi turn our pockets out and give them all our money. But fortunately we were wise to this so you carried thirty odd dollars in ya pocket and 100 in ya sock they got about 150 dollars off us.Wouldn't mind but the bastards didn't even have the courtesy to leave the coke lol.

All that list Steff has just quoted is very true. I know 1st hand with social services what they are like! Liars stats and money. The new children's act will make some difference but not alot as though the old social workers are being weeded out the system remains of money stats lies and an open/closed case asap

of cause its all down to money, and always works in one direction ...

last time i was in crown court, it cost the taxpayer over 120 thousand, knowing they could not win the case, but think of the people it keeps in jobs eh? the case in point was down to the coppers not doing their job, or even responding.

all it is, sheets of paper thrown around the office, gaining signatures so they can justify the jobs and money.

think about it like this ... how many public servants have been made redundant in the past couple of years? and has anyone really noticed the difference? so what were they doing in the first place!!

The whole system is bent, but with you having a record, hanging round with known dealers and breaking a coppers jaw is putting you right in the spotlight, and with that you've got to realise crap is going to come your way.
I might be being a bit dim here, but I don't get how it being on cctv makes it bent? Whilst I'm against all this big brother stuff, surely the fight being filmed either shows you starting it or just defending yourself?

I know a few coppers, used to work with them, and others related to the job and my answer is no.

Doesn't mean there aren't a few puddings though.

However Gator, you need to explain this to get proper answers.

I know why because I had a fight with a off duty copper and bust his jaw they arrested me and I got a caution the next day why because the so called copper beat my mate up after I was took away and surprise it was all on cctv so bent or what

I'm pretty sure you don't mean you bust a coppers jaw because he beat your mate up after you had already left, nor do you know what your mate did after you left? And I'm pretty sure you don't mean you got cautioned just because he beat your mate up?

And if it was all on CCTV then your mate can make a complaint. Could it be the copper made the complaint about you, but your mate then didn't make the complaint about the copper??

I also say this as somebody who helped as best I could, a mate deal with a false allegation from somebody who was known to complain regularly and spin and the cops didn't investigate it properly so charged him based on BS.

You're trying to make it black and white because of your angle, but it obviously isn't mate.

You also aren't clear on what spured you to post this, the treatment of the family (if you give them grounds to associate they will investigate inc search) or your mate who got done?

If you're not looking for help, fine, my post is irrelevant, if you just wanted to vent.

But if your nose is clean, you'll remain clean - but you give the authority reason to investigate through behaviour or association then you have to expect them to ultimately. Whether you think that's right or not mate.

Yeah, the post confused me too to be fair. Not sure from anything posted that we are witnessing a miscarriage of justice, but then that can be because of the way it's been posted.

But if your nose is clean, you'll remain clean

I have a very good friend who has been remanded in custody for the last 9/10 months, he stands accused of involvement in the supply of huge quantities of class A, his crime, he was a mobile mechanic who worked on a car used by the criminal gang and was fixing one at the time of the raid that happened to have drugs stored in it's panels, he was replacing a ball joint!

I have another friend who has not long got out from serving 18 months for the supply of steroids, he has never supplied steroids to anybody! What he was guilty of was being the training partner of a police officer, they were both on the gear, the copper got tested and caught, due to the internal inquiry his text conversations on steroid dosages with my mate led to him getting the blame for supplying the officer, who got his wrist slapped while my mate got time.

So, you were saying..........

These are just two of many that I personally know of, much more injustice available online : )

There are good and bad, I agree, but I believe the amount of bad may be greater than you realise.

Coppers are bent bastards.

Hope that answers your question mate.

I had one catch me speeding the other day, I called him sir alot, got off with a verbal caution. He was a big fucker too.

Only cost me £200 (joke)

Yep some am but some am in a good way i may add, for instance i was 19 years old in my xr3i escort sports car blacked out windows bodykit the works,,,anyway i was proper pizzed off over something and i was speeding ridiculous speed and i then saw the blue lights and thought ''oh sh*t they got me'',,,,they took me into the back of the police car and i was waiting for the arrest fine etc but they both just turned around to me and said jokingly ''peeeeeeace maaaaaan'' they probably knew i had been on whacky baccy aswell cos my car would have stunk of it, and they just said to me nicely ''look we know you am legit insurance and love your car so why be a dick head and lose your liscence, and i bet you need your liscence for work etc, so we pulled you over and can see you ain't got a bad attitude and will let you off with a bollocking mainly for not slowing down cos we was behind you for ages and you didn't use your feckin interior mirror'' LOL honestly they was so sound and i explained i was having a bad time, they let me off and told me clam it and it learned me tbh and i was more of a pozer from that day than a boy racer,,,,TRUE STORY''!!
