I don't follow golf but occasionally watch an hour or two I have it when American fans are involved they are so childish it's unreal, "get in the hole" as soon as the guy hits the ball etc.

It's fear of upsetting advertisers.

Sky even go so far as turning the volume as low as they can so that no profanities are audible, I've been to games at the Etihad and Maine Road where there was good atmosphere ( been when the atmosphere is shit too, just for balance) only to watch footage of the game later and could barely hear a whimper from the crowd.
