Not the drink but the Away Kit 2017/18

I know, I know.....it's not even Christmas and yet here we are with details emerging about City's Away Kit for the 2017/18 season.

Is it me or are these things starting earlier and earlier :035: :103:

Anyone for a drop of claret?

Now we do go back to the good old days with a touch of maroon, trying not to use the word claret which is associated with red.

Claret is too West Ham for me to be sure.

A drop of maroon anyone?

Actually, I was wearing a pair of City Umbro socks playing 5 a side recently and someone commented that "those socks are a blast from City's past" which shows just how much the colour is associated with the club.

(Before you all ask, yes I was wearing more than just the socks to play :002: )

1. As long as we don't start playing like West Ham, it's ok by me.
2. Glad you clarified what you were wearing. Had visions of the FA beginning a new investigation.

That it resembles Barclays Walking Football at times is bad enough, but the idea we would be doing it wearing only football socks is just too awful to contemplate :028: :034:

I would quite like a pitchside seat before you and your teammates get banned though.

You'd probably be better off at a slightly greater distance - something like the third tier of the Etihad. Right at the back. :085:

Sorry to be pedantic - actually scratch that, I'm far from apologetic but were the tops of the 60's socks maroon or burgundy?

Either way I very much approve of that colour being used.

I still have a pair of 60's socks although the last time I wore them I was accused of being a Villa fan. Don't worry, that **** won't make that mistake again...

Funny you should say that KCT, the first City tracksuit I owned was made by Umbro, going back to the early nineties. A friend of mine was a Villa fan and he had the exact same tracksuit only with a Villa badge instead of a City badge.

If you asked the average City fan in the 60s what is burgundy, most would answer is it a beer. It was maroon lol
