Another year for Ben..

Last season, I was told he was moving on with 1 year left on his deal, I have to say I am shocked now - after we bought Santos and expect to be signing Robertson to hear that he's probably staying...or at least that's what the media are now saying..

Might be a de Zerbi request.

He was adaptable and flexible position wise and a sound head on old shoulders. Invariably when he played or came on we seemed much more solid defensively I have a lot of time and respect .for him...'an old school player type' (and what's wrong with that eh!). He in the main did his job with no fuss or bother, no tantrums or antics.

Hmm, i just hope its not a Ryan Mason 'slide him over to the coaching team' move. It wont help you in the long run Ben. Clean break and come back

I think it could help him but I also think he should move on, he's only just turned 33 so I'm sure he's good enough to be playing at a decent level for another 2-3 years. Swansea or Wrexham would be obvious moves for him.

Big fan of Ben as I said in an earlier post on this thread, however, I am more than puzzled by this reported offer of a new contract, whatever its length. We have Udoggie, Santos and hopefully Robertson so even if Santos were to go out on loan do we need another left back?

so he is here for another year as a player - helping from within
probably doing his coaching badges along the way in readiness

I'm ok with that
