Another one bites the dust! (pt III)

Got a good squad on paper as well have Boro. Will be worth a tipple on promotion next season if the old man fancies another crack at it.

He has 8x games left this season which will then take him to 1496 league games - he's going to want to get over 1500.

Huddersfield Town have sacked manager Danny Cowley after 10 months in charge of the Championship club.

And bizarrely Watford have sacked Nigel Pearson with two games remaining. Very odd, they were well adrift when he took over.

Reckon Pearson's told the Watford board a few home truths and to fuck off tbh.
I'd guess you're right. Pearson doesn't mince his words... He's the kind of manager who loves players who give 100%, but makes life a living hell for them if they don't.

I reckon Pearson would be a great fit for Latics, but reality is that our next manager will be a lower league manager moving up (or a low budget journeyman manager). The chance of us being able to afford Pearson's wages are absolutely zero.

To be fair, if Cook does move on for pastures new, and the club survives to start next season, we could do a lot worse than the Cowley brothers to be honest. And they'd be cheaper, hungrier and more likelier to join us than Pearson would.

Both strange sackings though, didn't see either happening

I've been saying for a couple of years that i would like Pearson as our manager, if we get Koukash running the show you never know, can't see him going for a lower league manager.

Salford City have sacked boss Graham Alexander and put ex-Manchester United player Paul Scholes in interim charge.

It is understood Salford's head of youth development, Warren Joyce, would have taken over but he is currently isolating.

The penalty king Graham Alexandra had Salford up to fifth in the table but the millionaire chums have put another millionaire in charge of their hobby.

I Bet Bert Troutman, Lev Yashin, Gordon Banks, and Peter Shilton didn't have goalkeeping coaches it's a load of rubbish just money wasting jobs for the boys
Why bother with any coaching staff at all then?
We don't need a manager or coaches, professional footballers should be able to work it out for themselves, according to your logic that is.

Don't talk stupid that's not what I said. How many backroom staff do clubs have these days its ridiculous, all people taking money out of the club. Ask the real Kenny Morris did he have all this pampering when he was playing.

TBH mate I seem to remember a lot of the posters on here demanding that we brought in a "defensive coach" in the early days of last season adding to the already long list.

I think Colgan will be a big loss especially to Owen Evans, a young keeper who is going to have to make the step up sometime this season, as he will need all the help and advice he can get as he tries to break through. Hopefully Jamie Jones will step up and give him the advice and support he needs as I would expect all the senior players to do.

Do we need a specialist goalkeeping coach at present, in my opinion yes, can we afford one, now that is a different question.

Goalkeeper coach " right lads, see that bag of wind ?.. stop it from going int onion bag. Awreet ?.. now put kettle on ".
