Another one bites the dust! (pt III)

League One Barnsley have sacked head coach Neill Collins with one game of the regular season left.

The Tykes are fifth in the third tier but are without a win in their past five matches.

Should they fail to beat Northampton on Saturday in their last game, they will drop out of the play-off places if two of Lincoln, Oxford and Blackpool win.

They had a good season until mid March and since then their form has fallen off a cliff.

Not sure if they got complacent, lost their bottle or had something happen behind the scenes but they've lost 6 in their last 10, after only losing 6 in the previous 27 so it's a drastic collapse.

Not at all surprised they sacked Collins. Very surprised and a bit amused by the timing of it. As much as he's clearly crap it's certainly as very slim chance that they'll get play-offs (and win them) with a caretaker.
