Ange has learned what?

I've seen Yates pass the ball really well. I'd say he usually does, but maybe someone else has stats to disprove this.
His passing has improved alot.
Last season I noticed alot of goals were created by Yates winning the ball and then finding a nice pass to MGW that gives him space to run into, but henever gets the credit for those, he always gets the shit for his misplaced passes.

I do think he misplaces easy passes too often though.

On the other hand, we demolished Brentford, who have been something of a bogey team.

We're more than capable of causing problems to most sides, but the recent managerial upheaval on top of all the late summer signings does put our new manager under some pressure.
we had a manager i trusted tacticaly against Brentford though

It baffles me how good Ryan Yates has been for so many years yet gets stick from some of the same people that laud Sangare, who’s never put together a good 90 minute performance in 2 seasons and cost £30m.

Yeah as I was a defender as a youth, I just can't handle watching players breeze past Sangare as if he wasn't there.
It reminds me of Shelvey, but admittedly Sangare was never that bad.
I just can't watch it.

It's all about goals scored...v Swansea we could have won by 5 goals easy ...nd not the usual having to wait until the 60th minute for the first shot on goal... I guarantee you that if instead of Boly nd the rest of the defence we had our usual defence the last few minutes collapse wouldn't have happened.
Goals not only lift the team that scores them but destroys the opposition morale...
On Wednesday we didn't miss one chance, we missed at least five clear chances including the CHO shot wonder save...shots like those usually 9.9 out of 10 end up in bottom corner...
That save alone gave a lift to the Swansea players, look how they celebrated their keeper..
Last year we won games ( in the FA Cup run) that we played no where close to that level...
It's luck sometimes...nd last year in some games, luck was on our side...this year not so much...apart from the Europe League affair

Have to agree

Chalk and cheese compared to last years second eleven performances which were dour

And needed the cavalry to come on to save us (even including Sels)

I think we faced a likely relegation season this time to be honest. Score a goal and defend like bastards wasn't going to work again. Nothing lost in a new appointment who more than likely will give it a go.

Nuno was toast from the minute EM walked onto the pitch at the Leicester game, and the signings we have made clearly weren’t for a defensive minded manager.
So why wait ?
We could have given Ange a preseason, now he is immediately under pressure. He needs a win today it’s that simple and that is unfair.
Liverpool only won there with a last minute dubious penalty.
For all the talk of how we’ll run we are, we have royally shit the bed this season and if it does end in relegation those in charge will absolutely have to own that.
It’s completely on them.

This isn't even remotely true what are you on about?
I think you've been watching too many people in the media who don't know what's going on at Forest.
Both EM and Nuno saw fit to get Nuno signed up to a 3 year contract after that. Very weird way to treat a guy who was already toast.

We may have had to wait? Have you considered that? I do agree with much of what you say but in life the perfect time frame of events doesn't occur very often.

It’s my opinion, you know like you get on football forums. Feel free to respectfully debate it.
I think Em was looking at potential new managers after our mini collapse last season.
I think in the short term ( one season) Ange might have had some success with a preseason.

Spot on. Nuno didn't fancy it and what sweeter way than a big compo payout to help him through the winter. If anything it's once again the owner who has been shafted.

So why did he give Nuno a new contract?
It doesn't make sense.
He knows he's going to fire Nuno but just decides to give him a bunch of free money for absolutely no reason at the same time??
