for you guys of an age to remember,we say goodbye today to acker bilk legendry jazz musician aged 85 years,
still performing until last year he was also a true gentleman,
i count myself lucky to have met him briefly and shake his hand at ronnie scotts in the seventies,a real one off...r.i.p. acker.

Not quite my scene , but he was a great influence on poplular music . RIP Acker

He was very popular when I was growing up. I never saw him live but people I knew who met him said the same as you sc. He was truly a Gentleman.
