Amputee footballer Jay Tregakiss scores spectacular solo goal
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/disability-sport/36400251
Jay was on the books at Manchester City FC but after suffering from a rare form of cancer which claimed his left leg, he had to give up his career as a professional footballer.
Clearly a determined guy he now plays with the help of crutches in the England Amputee Football Association (EAFA) National League.
An uplifting and inspiring story.
It is disappointing though that the fact that he was a MCFC player is buried in the text unlike the fact that Ched Evans, who made only 16 appearances in City's first team between 2007-09, is STILL labelled as "ex-Manchester City star". His subsequent 100+ appearances for Sheffield United are deemed irrelevant. So the implication is - good news story....don't link the club, bad news story......highlight the connection. :013:
