I find that, all too often, I see pictures of my FB contact's newborn offspring or grandchildren only to read the name the poor kid's been given to immediately think, "What a stupid name!"

I know it's really none of my business but what is it with giving kids stupid names? Unusual? Fine! But it seems like there is some sort of competition ongoing in the world to give kids the crappiest names.......like they will thank you for it.


 
Not seen any of the people I have on facebook giving silly names if I'm honest.

I like different names, but not ridiculous ones!
 
One of my contacts has just posted a picture of their son with his firstborn. The kid's name is Tyndale, it sounds like a football ground for goidness sake. I wonder if their next one will be called Old Trafford or The Bernabeu.
 
Some names suit kids though, not sure that is 'that' bad really.

There are worse.

Quite like Beckham's Brooklyn naming.

Bowie wasn't too kind to his kid calling him Zowie was he?!
 
I named my eldest William after my uncle and also it fitted William McGregor as he was the daddy of our club's birth, Charlie my youngest appeared spontaniously and as my it sounds like my name ''Clive Lee'' LOL
 
Geldoff should be shot for the names he gave his kids.

I should not be surprised by the name Tyndale, his mother is called Ananda (no, not Amanda)

 
I have no problem with people naming their kids after things/people but it would be nice if they were reasonable names.

American actor, Rob Morrow named his unfortunate offspring Tu.

That joke is going to wear thin before the poor kid even understands it.
