“For Tottenham a billion pound stadium as well, I think that is very tight the cash now for them a bit like Arsenal when they moved,” Allardyce said on talkSPORT show the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.

“They won’t reap the rewards of the new stadium for three of four years to come I don’t think, which is not good news for the Tottenham fans or Mauricio if they wan’t to win that title or win something.

“As exciting as they are, I’ve just got a feeling that maybe it’ll just be a mediocre season for them.”
