I think it's mandatory as per the Vital Villa handbook page 1 , paragraph 1 , sub section 1 that Dennis Mortimer captains the team regardless of whether you have seen him play or not.

You just can't have an all time team without Dennis, surely? THE captain. Just would make no sense.

And agree on Ron as well!

Dennis is such a leader, that when I talked recently I mentioned the heritage meetings the FCG attend and that I've long called for a statue of Dennis, (as well as Ron) as we have the space for a statue on all 4 corners of the ground, we have 1 at the moment as we all know.

He said no, if it wasn't the whole team, he wouldn't like it to be just him.

That is class.
 
My team certainly wasn't all those I've seen play btw, I'm only 51, not 101! LOL
 
I think Charlie is like Mortimer he has to be in everyone's team even if you never saw him play which I did and I can honestly say Stevie Staunton was the best left-back I've seen at Villa but Charlie wins it hands down for other reasons ie he's a club Legend
