Looks like The Swamp is going to be a lot less noisy then usual when they start playing in the Europa League:

According to the Daily Mail, the Sir Alex Ferguson stand, which holds 26,000 seats, is due to be cordoned off as a result of the low demand from supporters.

Why don't they just offer cut price tickets to everyone on the million strong season ticket waiting list?

Well, the pigeons have come home to roost at last. After years of attempting to ridicule Manchester City in terms of their selective support at certain matches, tonight's Manchester Evening News proclaims that the monolithic stand named after Sir Alex Ferguson will be closed for the forthcoming Europa League match against FC Midjtylland, if that's how you spell it, DUE TO LACK OF DEMAND FOR TICKETS.
