It will be interesting to see how he fairs at league level.

Gills were looking at him as I recall reading that JED wanted to see him in a game situation but they didn't have a development game lined up at the time.

We can't sign every promising Kent player but I hope our scouting network is keeping a look out for the next Kent lad we can develop and sell on for a profit.

I've seen a few people saying May had no interest in joining us in the first place, ala Boyd. Who knows the reasons if true.

Signing him would have been one hell of a punt, considering how far down the pyramid Hythe are.

At least Miller plays at a level only two divisions down so the step up will not be so steep.

Of course, Doncaster's gamble could pay off but I think the odds are against.
