Alex Woodyard talks.

Sounded pretty sad about the prospect of joining Peterborough at the start! Interesting that he said Peterborough have been on at him for a while... must have had an impact on his game towards the end of the season.

My take on this move is as follows.
A classic case of agent churning making a buck by moving his man about.
Writing is always on the wall when agents insert( "buyout clause) in previous contract and there is nothing any football club can do to stop it.
Agents love moving their lads on and when they are living in temporary digs(lcfc house, with Sean Long
cooking dinner )
it is easy to move them on as they have no roots set down.

DC makes statement that we will use the money (what else will he say) but this one will hurt him and LCFC but there was no control in this matter once the agent(not his brother) had grasped the issue then AW was a goner.
We have lost arguably our best player and captain for loose change in football terms(less than half a week`s wage for Sanchez)

The move to Peterborough a side drawing crowds half the size of Lincoln City and not owning their own ground with a management crew (the 3 wise men) who spend their time signing and churning players like football agents....not employers i would NOT like to be working for them.
So in conclusion it does not look a great football move for AW and there is not even a guarantee of wearing a shirt every week at Boro, playing for a volatile manager, who is know to jump ship at the drop of a hat(mansfield) supported by owners(string pullers) Fry and macanthony.
The line" i always wanted to play for Peterborough" is somewhat absent.
GOOD LUCK AND THANKS AW ......YOU WERE QUALITY.

Hellfire that was a painfull watch. He looks and sounds so overjoyed with his move......NOT. I can't believe DC told him this was a good move for him.

You are so correct with your comments,,,right on the button,,,,,does not look at all happy.
On the other hand his agent is probably laughing all the way to the bank and no not Sincil Bank.
Best thing to happen in modern day football,,,,,,Agents,,,,,, discuss!

Two years on and he's still not keen on doing interviews!
Should have let the agent do the talking they are normally full of all the right answers.
Agents...mostly anonymous ,turn up at contract negotiations, leeching money out of our game(clubs even paying their fees!)destabilising player`s careers and provoking player movements for their personal profit with little regard for the players long term future.
(in my opinion)

Sat opposite Woodyards agent on the train on the way home from Wembley. (he also managed one of our loan players) Was exactly what you'd think an agent would be like.

Good info, kentishimp would you like to elaborate any more?
Some on Vitals here were claiming AW`s agent was his own brother,i refuted that comment as i had chatted with aw`s father only very recently.
