Aldi do occasionally get the highest quality stuff in, so if your conscience allows you to eat the flesh of what once was a beautiful living creature then I've no doubt you'll be happy with your purchase........ Cue the veggie bashing
I've seen on 'hot uk deals' that you'll also on occasion be able to get premium quality whiskey/brandy that would retail in the £100+ in other stores, and other higher end items, so I'm not sure how they work out their business model but it's definitely working for them.

My conscience is totally clear eating meat I must admit. That's the way I'm built, they are reared for that purpose, wouldn't be around if not. I do agree with treating the animals correctly when alive etc but I personally couldn't not eat meat, wouldn't want to either.

Wagyu beef is the most amazing thing in the world. As said it melts like butter. Only ever had it once though as very expensive, but if Aldi are gonna sell it at £7 a pop I'll be having it every week!
As for Aldi. We shop there a bit. Closest one is WOrcester so its a bit of a trek, we have a Morrisons, Tesco, M&S and Waitrose closer but if in Worcester and its time for a big shop we'll use Aldi.
The shopping experience is awful. The shelves look cluttered, you can't pack your bags at the till (which after the intitial shock, actually makes sense after a bit), and you can't pay by credit card, but the food is sooooooo cheap, and is definitely on a par, or better than the branded foods you get elsewhere.
We can easily save £30 on a weekly shop. £70 in Aldi when it would be £100 elsewhere. And the food is great.
Got most of my xmas day veg from there. Maris Piper spuds. 59p for a massive bag. Everyone at the table raved about my roasties.
Will defo be giving the Wagyu a try.

Nah the chicken hearts weren't for me. I'll try anything once and if it's nice I'll try it again. But found those chicken hearts a bit rubbery. it was almost like over cooked liver.
I love a good steak though and Wagyu is about as good as it gets. Although I still maintain that steak we had in Cape Town was the best I've ever had by some distance.

Was surprised at the others not trying it at least. I don't get the horror of some bits of meat and yet people will eat arse, leg, wings etc! As you say, if you try it and don't like it, that is different!
They were strong tasting for sure.

Aldi is actually the closest supermarket to us. We buy most of our groceries there. Unlike the experiences we've had in the past in their stores in Dublin (bored Eastern Europe lassies), the customer service in Chorley is very good. They don't take credit cards (but will take debit cards and give you cash back), you have to do your own packing and it's 3p if you want a carrier bag.
But the prices more than make up for that and the quality is largely excellent, especially for fruit and vegetables. Today, for example, we got a bag of seven sizeable oranges for 69p, seven good-sized bananas for 68p and a fresh pineapple for 65p.
For those who can afford to go on holidays, they also have some decent looking suitcases this week, all less than twenty quid each.

Tried a few things recently, kangaroo, ostrich, buffalo, horse etc. Still prefer dead cow though!

Aldi is decent, only issue i found with it was that you cant do your full shop in there. You have to visit other shops to finish it off, and thats annoying. For instance, the fresh veg and a lot of the other stuff is good. But i've found some of the frozen stuff to be a bit weird and the cans of beans etc leave a lot to be desired. For that reason, i shop at Asda.
