I dearly hope , that a couple of games out , will reignite the fire in his belly, so he will fight for his place, he will always be a legend at City.

I said on another thread what my preferred front three would be , with DS and KDB just behind , and I think that was proved at WHU.

So , perm any three from four, but assuming all fit , and in form , and I know this will upset some ,

my three :

Leroy , Kun , and Jesus.

Any thoughts ?

For the moment I would stick with last nights triumvirate, don't see any good reason why we shouldn't.

Agree on Silva and KDB both playing as sort of false 8s. That has been proven to work like we saw at the start of the season and last night, it's when one gets pushed wide that they don't seem to fit on the same team.

Part of me agrees with you Dub, the pace last night was frightening and I support City !

The other part of me disagrees , as we both think that RS's finishing has dropped off a bit from the early season promise.

But I think all can agree with Pep's comment , those three will be the future , and it's Blue.

It has dropped off, doesn't seem as confident as he did early season but here's the thing for me Seac, Aguero's finishing has been just as poor lately and Sterling is currently offering more in terms of a threat.

It's like a rag mate said to me the other day when I mentioned Sterling's finishing is still not up to scratch, he agreed but said to me that every time he's watched City this season it seems our most likely source of a goal is through Sterling, I find it hard to disagree with that assertion.

We have just started to glimpse what Pep is striving to delevop - pacey, mobile forwards who are comfortable receiving the ball in tight spaces but who can interchange and who are not afraid of hard work in aggressively (in ththe nicest possible way) regaining possession. Provided Sergio can adapt and work to the same template he can play a big part but he will have to work to adapt his style and work rate. He is and always will be a legend at City but as the squad evolves and changes he may find that playing on the shoulder of the last defender is no longer the 'only game in town'. I think his coach expects more from him and there is only one guy who knows whether he is prepared to deliver......and that is Sergio.

Players like sane, Jesus and Sterling cam all help Aguero who has led the line alone for ages, all strikers go through a lean spell, but it wont last long and he will be firing on all cylinders, but as pep says you have to leave someone out, but they will all get games, but Segio will get more than the others.

Shall we give it a little more time - I remember Robinho starting off rather well before it all went tits up. GJ33 has started a couple of games for us - it's a bit like meeting someone and deciding this is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, or at least the next ten eleven years - when at the same time you have a girl/boy friend at home whose maybe stopped shaving their legs and can't quite squeeze into the frock you bought him/her last season. All they need to do is look in the mirror and lay off the puddings until they rediscover their stealth between the sheets.

Craig Burley on ESPN last night mentioned discipline problems that are off the field that began at A Madrid. Partying etc. Never heard that before from Kun. Personally I dont care if he roots Peps missus. After his contribution to us he should get a pension from Abu Dhabi for life.

It appeared the ESPN panel went 3-1 that Kun would be sold for big money during the summer.

Love it, RH needs to improve his finishing, Jesus so far fantastic.

The difference between Robinho and Jesus, is that Robinho did not want to come to Manchester City, he came to the place that paid him the most money, he could not play away from home in the same way he did at the Etihad and i was glad to see the back of him.

Jesus came because he wants to be here under Pep, it is a good buy and possibly a bargain if you can call £28m a bargain, but handled properly then we have a diamond

Never heard it myself Ned, funny, you'd think the British tabloid press would be all over that like a rash if there was any truth to it. I suspect Burley's talking bollox, for a change.

I'm sure I read it that Aguero wanted a quiet life, and it was his now former wife? (Maradona's daughter) was the party animal :048:

Stand by this week for a ramping up of the Agüero stories in the media.

Pep's (perfectly rational if unexpected) decision to effectively stick with winning team will have fuelled the flames of "Agüero's future in the balance" stories. Although the club moved very quickly to reiterate just how much they want him to reminds part of the future plans I don't think that will stop the media speculation and sh*t stirring

R5L desperately trying to make something out of the Jesus/Agüero 'situation'.

Charlie's Adam, the only contributor who is actively a player, pouring as much cold water on the speculation as is possible by pointing out it has only been two games and Agüero will be back.

Honestly, if Pep wasn't playing her new £27m signing they would be asking why not? "Why isn't he giving the young man a chance?" I can hear the cries.

news popping up everywhere, just seen one that If Arsela don't sell sanchez to PSG then they will buy Aguero

do players have a price that you cannot refuse?
