£25M ? :3:

Meh, not bothered, thought he was abysmal. Totally overhyped. Ta'ra a bit.

I thought he showed glimpses but struggled for consistency. Much better on the attack than in defence though.

If we make our money back it's a good deal though.

Good news.

He was continually targeted by other teams when he played full-back which tells you a lot about him.

He seems a nice guy who will be better suited playing in Spain. I wish him well.

Good.

He wss crap, heard all the excuses and stuff like "he was in a poor team" " he was great before his injury" "he will ne class".

Well he was, but he was one of the reasons, no he wssnt he wss a calamity and who knows what he will be like in 5 years, but in 2017 he is a fancy haircut that thinks he is better than he is (wonder who else thats been said about) and clearly doesnt give a monkeys chuff about the Villa.

Goodbye, you wont be missed

Didnt look too good for the championship at all.

One we can do definately dom without for the slog that is the championship season.

Taylor is more than fine.

Whatever you may say he's joining a team 4th in La Liga and who play some of the best football in europe. A good defender he was not and given his age thats understandable. I suspect he'll do really well there because his game wont be centered around defending.

think he'll be a very decent player with some coaching in a team that can actually play.

a moderate, at best journeyman, fullback is all that's required I suppose to be mid table championship so i guess taylor will do (unless any even less moderate hull players become available)

I've read the fee was £6.2m + £1.8m in add ins which is a good fee. He's a good player but doesn't really suit us or the championship in general. Good luck to him. Now let's use the cash to get some quality signings in

FFS - if Sevilla want him, then he is a proper player, they see it. Here he was a square peg in a round hole, part of the overall problem

The problem with Amavi is he was bought by people who have no idea about what a football team does.
Amavi was a leftwinger all of his career, until because of team injuries he was asked to move to wingback.
He had some success, mainly because the defensive side of his game was done by others.
In a team that play a 3-man back line, Amavi will probably have a decent career.

Came into a car crash football club and had a bad injury that took him out for 6 months. Hope he does well in Spain.

If he does well in Spain, we'll all be wondering what's wrong with us.

We saw it with Savo and lots of others who looked much better after they left us.

Amavi never looked a world beater to me but I suspect he'd look much better if he had only one job to do.

I bet Dr Twitter regrets not taking the 30m for him now , which leads me to suspect Dr X is a bit of a bullshiner who tells us what we want to hear . Makes him look pretty stupid now to be honest .
If I'm honest I think he's better than Taylor and certainly better going forwards. Good luck to the lad .

I have thought for ages now that this league is not one for Foreigners , so the more that go the better .
I was getting a bit pee'd off watching them all congregating together in the warm ups etc .
All the french speakers together all the spanish speakers together , now we're down to just Koj,Bacuna who are not native English speakers . Not just them really little cliches all over the place Jack ,GG and all the home grown lads . To me it doesn't bode well in team building .
We know they are not all going to be best mates but at least they can all understand the manager and their team mates which has to be an improvement .

Another player who walked onto the ancient Indian burial ground that is Bodymoor Heath and magically lost all their talent. The fact that he's gone to a top club shows how highly rated he is. Will end up being a top player, but was sadly never going to show it with us. Good luck to him

Realistically he isn't what we want now, and probably not in the future, so the cash will be welcome. Hope it's used on somebody of real value to us. If it's around £7m, and we sell Cissokho for say £3m, then we have a useful addition to the kitty. I'd buy Johnstone, for a start.
