Millers No. 2 after yesterdays away loss

A good honest interview from SA.
Words in the paragraph below have been used previously over the last few seasons. Not enough quality on the ball. Well to get that quality on the ball costs a premium price or a gamble on a lower league player coming good. I can’t knock the team / squad/ Management for effort but effort alone won’t get a team promoted.
I’m looking forward to Salford at home on Saturday. A team that has spent some cash( not a fortune) and have had a poor start to the season but results are now picking up.

‘I thought we huffed and puffed and probably didn’t have enough quality on the ball. There was sloppy passing at times but the lads kept going and there was spirit and determination with the new group who have come together and really worked for each other “.

Evans and Raynor are an embarrasment. There is no denying that they have had success and they may well have success again this season, but I regret the fact that we ever employed them and Bristol Rovers are welcome to them.

I think we have settled into a regular pattern. Our performances across all of our league games have been at a similar level. We occasionally play some good stuff. Our chosen lone striker can look isolated. We try hard. We defend well for long periods but occasionally let soft goals in with individual (often goalkeeping) errors. And we tend to give the ball away too cheaply too often. To me we look like a mid table side that might be capable of improving as the season wears on. The fixture list gave us quite a tricky start. I’d have liked more than five points at this stage but I feared it might be less to be honest. There are things to build on.

I don't like Salford tbh. Think it's because of the United connection. But they have done well to get to where they are now. Im looking forward to the game as well.
