Today I was accused of being out of touch with how things are in the UK. Whilst I accept that this is partially true (I've never been to a Nandos for example, they simply were too small back in 1999, when I left the UK, for me to have heard of them) I do still have friends and family in the UK with whom I have almost daily contact. None of my friends or family have ever expressed being afraid to go out or let their kids go out because of all the Muslims. I have as siste-in-law in Coventry that has always been, what I would call, overly careful about her kids but she has rarely lived in the better areas and has never blamed it on anything other than the usual rabble of troublemakers plus a fear of child abducters (a touch paranoid perhaps?) Also, my sister, who used to work at Small Heath Leisure Centre, did feel uncomfortable with the looks she got wearing shorts in the area.
However, I am willing to accept that I don't experience the UK on a daily basis and I know there are shitty areas (there always has been) but are any of you scared to go out/send your kids out because of Muslims?
