Advice please?

Tudor

Vital Football Legend
The wife is beginning to give me GBH of the ear!

Reasons

City are still in four comps and most recently all of their games have been live on the telly. I of course want to watch but up until recently Mrs Tudor, who is not a football fan has been fine. I always bring up the subject about booking the TV and this morning gently reminded her of tomorrows UCL game. Then came the stare….nothing was said but the huff and shrug of the shoulders gave it away.

What do I do?

File for divorce?
Only watch the odd City game?

BAH!

VMC

Some good news!

Last month (Jan) we had the best monthly stats the site have ever seen. For some reason we’re getting massive amounts of traffic from the African continent, never seen before - this is a puzzle.

We’re day 12 into Feb and as of yesterday’s stats, well, we’re on course to smash last month’s figures. In fact, we’re already ahead of several previous months’ totals.

Huge thank you

VMC would not work without the huge amount of help I get from the co-eds and the work they put in. I know it’s take time to write articles and so please accept my huge thanks. Especially as they do it all for free.

Oh and I can’t forget everyone who contribute to the forums. It’s bloody brilliant.

Huge hugs all round, except the wife who, I think I’m pissing off – no hugs from her at the present time. Bugger!!!

PS

My frigin' car won't start and so i'm housebound. 25 mins on the phone waiting for the RAC to pick up and wow, i've got a three hour waiting time for anyone to attend.

Today can only get better :037:

It never fails to amaze me how badly trained your wives are.
Mr. Rising is, of course, a City fan, but nowhere near as obssessive about it as I am. He knows this, and complies with whatever I want.

Great news about the visitors, it's just a shame we don't get more posters.

Offer to do the ironing while you watch the match, works a treat, although be careful, there is the potential to become to engrossed in what you're watching and forgetting you have a piping hot iron on delicate fabric.

My other trick is offering to mind the kids, the elder fella just goes on his tablet and watches youtube but the younger one ( 14 months) loves to sit beside me on the couch watching football, joins in too in screaming at the telly, tbh I think that's really why he enjoys it, well that and the little jig we do around the room when City score.

Just buy another telly and put it in another room, or hide from everyone and watch the full match replay on a pc without knowing the score, or record it and watch it later. In my Castle her who must be obeyed has total control of the remote and the prime TV and I never miss a City first team game If I can help it. Exceptions are proper holidays when we travel with only a dumb 3G phone just in case of an emergency.

I simply give Mrs KCT a smack on her not inconsiderable arse and tell her to get me beer and snacks from a not so convenient store - one that is 45 minutes away.

Old school...

Not a problem for me. SWMBO is a massive City fan. She is not a fan of me watching every other game that comes on. But there are 8 TV's in the house so there is always one free. :023:

You have a Q box. Tape it, you have to compromise, take her out for a meal when one of the matches are on and watch it later after she has gone to bed.

Watch the programmes she wants to watch

Buy her flowers

Promise to ride her like a wild stalion if City win.

Now there's an idea :021:

Thanks for all the advice guys, really appreciated.

We're off to soak up some winter sun next week and so i'll use my charm, wine and dine for a week etc etc and see if that works. :022:

Convert garage/cellar into a small but functioning dungeon. Tie her up for 45 minutes, diddle her thingy at half time, return to sofa for second half.

Please remind Mrs Tudor that is she lived in Sydney the alarm would go off for mid week games at around 6am and she would be encouraged to make a pre game coffee(the alternative would be a pre game romp- I get a lot of coffee)

Weekend games usually start at 2am or 4.30 am so sundays/mondays are a no sleep zone. She is aware of the alternatives.......

Well at a guess you would have more powerful bargaining position to make sure he complies with your requests.
